One of our most important health and wellness programming is our food program, it provides food security for many of our members who use our meals and food donations to help supplement their food budget. Our focus is on healthy and fresh foods for our meals, and we have our own garden plot located outside of our recovery house, Mike’s Bridge House, and also receive donations from Athens Food Rescue (this includes local restaurants and grocers) and Community Food Initiatives (they source food from local farmers and producers). A big part of positive mental health is a healthy diet.

We Offer

  • Daily meals
  • Opportunity to be on Kitchen and Meal Planning Committee
  • Education on Food and Nutrition and Meal preparation
  • Access to food security
  • Athens Food Pantry site for those we serve
  • Access to food donations that we receive weekly from Athens Food Rescue, these are often organic and fresh foods.
